Validation and Performance of Satellite Meteorological Dataset MERRA-2 for Solar and Wind Applications

In paper, Modern-Era Retrospective analysis Research Applications dataset version 2 (MERRA-2) provided by NASA introduced its evaluated comparison locally measured datasets offered meteorological institutions Meteonorm Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD, Germany’s National Meteorological Service) around world. After comparison, correlation coefficients from 0.95 0.99 observed monthly global horizontal irradiance values. case air temperature, speed 0.81 observed.
